Stuck on "display is page_address+c" after firmware update
Hello, My ReadyNAS 104 prompted me to update the firmware last night. So I agreed, and it has been stuck on the reboot stage for about 14 hours so far. The message on the display is "page_add...

And no more firmware updates. Ever.
Your 'display is page_address' issue could potentially be related to the mv_xor message that other individuals were getting on their RN104s. We released a 6.5.2 beta yesterday which should address that issue (although too late since you were recommended to restore to factory default). I would recommend always staying up to date on firmware though -- we fix a lot of security stuff in each release and address potential issues you could run into.

Thank you for the tip.
Any idea what I should do next though, when the sync finishes?
Do we think it should reboot fine into normal mode? Or should I be doing something else first, such as rolling back to an earlier firmware to avoid it hanging at 77% again?

If Netgear offers suggestions, then of course go with them.
Otherwise, I'd just restart and see what happens. It might be that the combination of resync and something else (computing quotas or some similar processing required by the update) is what caused the problem.
I wouldn't roll back software..

So booting into "Volume read only" doesn't appear to have resolved anything. The sync completed and then I restarted from within the web admin. But it then got stuck on "Restarting now, See you soon" (on the units display).
I waited several hours but then had to disconnect the power and reconnect it.
Now it's stuck at "booting 91%" and I see "?pnphttpd.servic" when I press the power button (i can't read the character where I've put the question mark).
PLEASE HELP!!! I'm travelling overseas in 9 hours and this unit is supposed to record all my security cameras.
Ps. I took a configuration backup from the system settings page, whilst in "Volume read only" mode. I don't have a backup of the data, but I can live with losing that. I'm more concerned that the surveilance app is not recording the cameras.
Pss. And by the way, maybe the web admin screen should only prompt users to install firmware that is known to be compatible?

About the only idea I have is to do a factory default (destroying all data and resetting everything). If you can live with one disk while you are away, then the setup is faster because there will be no RAID sync.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.... Perhaps it was too late to add that when the old firmware was already in the field. But it would be good if Netgear put in the hooks to make it possible in the future releases.

Thanks for trying to help Stephen.
So you don't think I should try to reinstall the last firmware that actually worked? (think i said it was 6.2.2)
