Suggested setup please
Hi, I have 3-4 PC's with Windows XP, and a couple of Mac/iMACs at home. Got a ReadyNas Duo with standard software, and also an old STORA in the garage for extra backup safety. I manually copy files form each computer on an ad-hoc basis. Can anoone please recommend how I can automate this at a decent cost ? I would like to;
- regularly and automatically get each computer to backup their photos and documents (skip all software) to the ReadyNAS Duo
- on a weekly or monthly basis, get an incremental backup from the ReadyNAS server to the STORA in the Garage
Total data volume is < 200 GB.
Happy holidays

- SkywarpTutorI have a similar setup, I use synctoy in windows to backup to my main NAS, and then a weeksly rsync job to a second NAS.
In your case, you can use syncoty, or some other backup software to backup the windows computers and maybe TimeMachine for the MACs (not too familiar with MAC myself, sorry). And then create a weekly backup job to the Stora on the DUO (remote CIFS/SAMBA server)
