taking snapshot via command line or crontab
I'm wondering how to take snapshot of filesystem via crontab on OS6 btrfs.
I know how to take snapshot of btrfs, but these snapshot is not registered in frontview. How can I take one via commandline which will show up in frontview's timeline?
Thanks,
Simon

Why do you want to do this?
You can already configure the NAS to take snapshots on a schedule using the UI.

What I want to do is
1. Wake up my readynas on schedule
2. Do a snapshot for my readynas
3. Run a couple of backup from network source
4. shutdown my readynas
I can do 1,3,4. Step 3 & 4 I can do via my own script, but I cannot triggle a snapshot before invoke the backup. It will be ideal to have one before backup, in case some files are deleted by mistakes at least will be kept in snapshot.
The auto schedule is not really working for my case.
Thanks,
Simon
