Tandberg RDX USB 3.0

I contacted support prior to buying this device and they confirmed it would work.

I have connected a Tandberg RDX QuikStor USB3+ to one of the rear USB 3.0 ports on my ReadyNAS Duo v2. The RDX is powered by the USB 3.0 port itself and utilises 2TB media. However the USB device does not show up in the admin panel anywhere. I downloaded the logs and it appears the ReadyNAS can identify the RDX but nothing happens after that. I tried backing up one of the shares to the "rear-bottom USB" destination with no success.

The media is pre-formatted with exFAT. Could this be the cause of the problem? Is the anything else I can try to get this working?

Worth noting, when I connect the device and disconnect it while the ReadyNAS is powered-on, I get an email alert informing me that "Disk 1" was removed from the ReadyNAS. So it appears the ReadyNAS can see the device, just not the drive.
