In the past couple weeks on 6.4.0 (and now after going to 6.4.1), my MacBook Pro can't find the disk even after a restart of the NAS. I've been using it for a couple of years to the personal Time Ma...

Unfortunately 6.4.x is very unstable. connection to shares is constantly interrupted and time machine backup works for a few days and then is broken and new backup is done. 6.4.x is garbage. I regret that I installed it and can't go back anymore.

Are you using the anti-virus service? There is a known performance issue related to that service. You could try disabling that service and see if that helps.
Also note that some issues that some users have encountered have been fixed in ReadyNASOS 6.4.2 (RC1). You may wish to give that a try, but first I would like to have a look at your logs please (see the Sending Logs link in my sig).- schalliolFeb 22, 2016Aspirant
It's been two months and it's still not working, even under the new OS update. I am not using antivirus software, and none of the three Macs using Time Machine to backup to this NAS. Is there a way to somehow reset the time machine service all together? I've tried to delete an individual time machine backup, and even time machine user and re-add, but to no avail.
Thanks!
