my "Mid 2011" Mac Mini running Mavericks (upgraded from Mountain Lion) works for Backup and appears to be working ok for restore from the simple test I just tried.
my new "late 2013" MacBook Pro with Mavericks out of the box gives me the Connecting screen for around 45 seconds and then the "There was a problem connecting to the server “holly”." error....
