Looking up the error you got the first hit on ReadyNAS.com was regarding someone entering the wrong credentials and it sounds like that's the problem here too. If you can't remember the password it should be in the keychain on your ML drive/partition, I think. Easy enough to reset the password if you need to via Backup > Time Machine in Frontview. Though you would need to re-enter the credentials on all your Macs that backup to the NAS if you do that.
