Time Machine does not work anymore for me.
OSX: 10.9.1
ReadyNAS NVX
RAIDiator 4.2.25
1. At first I started to get the verifying error followed by a requirement to do a full backup again.
2. Then backups started to get stuck at 50Mb of 998Mb backup (for hours)
3. I tried to delete the backup but OSX complained that token file was in use.
4. ssh'd into ReadytNAS and deleted everything in /c/.timemachine
5. Rebooted, powered off, and many combinations thereof
Now, I am left with "The backup disk image “/Volumes/ReadyNAS/Family iMac.sparsebundle” could not be created (error (null))." The odd part is that I can go to the share (or ssh), and Family iMac.sparsebundle is there. My /c/.timemachine folder contains:
nas:/c/.timemachine# ls -la
total 32
drwxr-xr-x 8 ReadyNAS root 4096 2013-12-28 13:32 .
drwxrwxrwx 10 root root 4096 2013-12-28 11:41 ..
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2013-12-28 13:27 .AppleDB
drwxr-xr-x 2 root nogroup 4096 2013-12-28 13:27 .AppleDesktop
drwxr-xr-x 2 ReadyNAS nogroup 4096 2013-12-28 13:27 .AppleDouble
-rw-r--r-- 1 ReadyNAS root 0 2010-08-11 14:19 .com.apple.timemachine.supported
drwx--S--- 4 ReadyNAS nogroup 4096 2013-12-28 13:30 Family iMac.tmp.sparsebundle
drwxr-xr-x 3 root nogroup 4096 2013-12-28 13:27 Network Trash Folder
drwxr-xr-x 3 root nogroup 4096 2013-12-28 13:27 Temporary Items
No amount of reboots or restarts seems to make it happy.
Please help. I don't like operating without some form of backup.
