Unable to switch from 100Mb to Gigabit on Readynas Duo

You need to select the Auto-negotation option.
It should report in Frontview if it's connected at gigabit speeds. Under Network > Interfaces the Status should be: Online / 1000 Mbit / Full-Duplex
