update file is not valid for this architecture
Hi,
My little readynas ultra has been working perfectly for years now all of a sudden I am getting problems,
Frontview wont install any addons, the shutdown and reboot check update functions do not work, I only noticed this problem when I noticed mysql was not working either when I could not log into it via phpadmin.
Now all of a sudden whatever I try I face errors including "update file is not valid for this architecture"
I am not to savy when it ome to linux but I would like try and fix this rather than factory restore..
Hope somebody can help
Thanks Paul

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserWhat update are you trying to install? Also, what firmware are you running?
- pauliesAspirantHi,
firmware is RAIDiator 4.2.22
I was not trying to do any updates I realised something was up when I tried to reboot from frontview and nothing happend so from further messing discovered the problems I had.
To try and fix the problems I tried to reinstall the firmware but kept getting the above message.
Paul - pauliesAspirantHi,
The situation seems to have got worse over night ssh stopped working, front view still loads but whatever you click on dos not work.
I have tried an OS reinstall but it is still no better, should I open a support ticket?
Thanks Paul
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2 - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYes open an online support ticket. It sounds like your OS partition is full.
- pauliesAspirantHi,
Is it easy to clear the OS partition ?
Thanks Paul - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserOpening a support ticket is a good way...
The other method is an OS reinstall, which you've apparently already done. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredAn OS Re-install would only fix some problems. Sounds like since that didn't work that this is an issue that support needs to fix.
- catnasAspirantDid you find a fix to this? My NAS did the same thing over night. Turned off all services and will not accept any changes or firmware updates. I tried an OS Reinstall and the issues are still the same.
- chirpaLuminaryYou'll have to contact Tech Support. They can remotely fix it.
