Update to 6.5.1 causing problems with excel

I have had a readynas running fine on an older firmware (6.4.0) and only just updated it as it was working fine, and therefore only updated due to possible security issues etc.


Since I have updated the NAS has been performing badly not allowing saving of excel and slowness, the worse thing it was working fine before then.

Is it possible to roll back to 6.4.0 and do you know if it is possible to confirm exactly the firmware I had as could have been 6.4.1?

 

If not, has anyone got any advice, I am running the antivirus which I assume if I turn off will make it run a little better, but anything else?

 

There are about 10 users, generally using excel and word docs sharing.

    Your firmware update history is in initrd.log which is one of the logs downloaded when you download all the logs.

     

    Once you have updated to 6.5.x you cannot downgrade to older firmware than 6.5.0.

     

    Have you tried changing some settings using the SMB Plus app?

     

    Have you tried updating to the latest firmware 6.5.2?

      Yes upgraded to 6.5.2 and still the same, maybe a little faster but nothing like it was with 6.4.1

       

      I disabled off IPv6 

      Turned off Anti Virus

      Rebooted Router

       

      Not sure what to do in SMB Plus but have just installed it?

      The NAS is used with Windows 7 Pro x 10 Users pretty much sharing Excel and Word documents, thats it!

      Appreciate any help.

        I checked logs and it was updated from 6.2.0 to 6.5.0 and now to 6.5.1

         

        [2016/09/10 06:43:32] Updated from ReadyNASOS 6.2.0 (ReadyNASOS) to 6.5.1 (ReadyNASOS).
        [2016/09/12 11:40:08] Updated from ReadyNASOS 6.5.1 (ReadyNASOS) to 6.5.2 (ReadyNASOS).
