Update: Version 4 firmware to OS6

After reading several lengthy threads on the subject, and successfully upgrading my ReadyNAS Pro 2 from latest supported release to OS6.9.5 (this was what I found available to download on the thread), I was curious if anyone knew if there was a more up to date modified version of this. Since I have it working currently, would rather not brick it by running the upgrade direct from the Frontview page. (The auto notification that there is a new version.)

Any help is appreciated.

  • The upgrade image tricks RAIDiator-x86 into thinking that the OS6 firmware image is a RAIDiator-x86 firmware image. Once you are running OS6 you have to use standard OS6 images to update further. You can use the automatic updates or manually upload the image.

To go back to RAIDiator-x86 you would have to use a modified image that appears to OS6 to be an OS6 image. When going back to RAIDiator-x86 the factory reset (wipes all data, settings, everything) has to be done manually.
