Upgrade Drives on NETGEAR READYNAS DUO v2
Hi I'm looking to upgrade my NETGEAR READYNAS DUO v2 hard drives. Currently they sit in a X-RAID 2. I want to know the procedure for doing this, and if it's possible to do it as a hot swap. ...

OK Jenn, Here's what worked: I'm not a programmer, so I don't understand the underlying problems with how all this worked.
Took out both 4TB drives. Installed the 1TB WD10EARX green drive that shipped with the device into the left drive bay. Let it set itself up. Everything went ok, it set itself up into x-raid2 without any choices offered to me. I watched the goings on with Raidar 6.1. Shut it down, and let it reboot. Installed one of the 4TB WDEFRX drives. The nas recognised it, and mirrored the 1TB partition on the first drive, web page says it's redundant. Shut it down. Removed the 1TB drive. Rebooted. Still able to see it under raidar and web page. Installed the second 4TB drive into the left slot while hot. Then it took it's usual time to mirror the 1TB partition. Following directions, I waited until it was done, and shut it down. Upon reboot, it expanded the mirrored partition to it's full size. Here's the logs, though the web page here changed something that included network addresses. If you want, I can download the logs that I kept and send them to you for archiving should anyone need them, as I don't see a way to attach the logs to this post. Here's what it will allow me to post:

Hi nightfly44,
Base from what you said and in the log sequence that you posted, the system appears to be fully functional now with your 2x 4TB hard drives.
Let us know if you have further questions.
