Upgrade Ultra 4 and Pro 4 OS 4.2.31 to 6.9.3

I've finally decided to take the plunge to upgrade my OS4-devices to OS6. It seems quite hard to find a reliable source for the needed upgrade files (PREP4TOR6 and R4toR6*.bin).

You’ve already got the latest BiOS for your system installed. So there’s no benefit at all from installing the BIOS update add-on.
Even if you had an old BIOS updating the BIOS would not have been essential, just optional.

I actually found the old mega-links to the upgrade files and could then compare and verify them with the upgrade file I created myself with the help of the instructions in e.g. this post:
The PREPR4toR6 file was also there and doesn't seem conspicous.
Only question remaining is whether I need to upgrade the BIOS?
My bios_ver.log file states:
08/23/2011 ReadyNAS-NVX-V2 V1.10
