UPS Setup on 51600 with Firmware 6.5.1
Just installed an APC APU. Running Win 10x64 and connected the USB cable from the APC APU to my main PC. I know they see each other because the APC Software can talk to the APC APU. Also installed the Windows SNMP Optional Software and rebooted. Checked and SNMP does automatically start. May need some additional settings though.
How do I set up the APU Setting for the 51600 so there is SNMP Communication with my main PC? I tried using the local network IP address for my PC, but I get Communication Error Messages from the 51600 repeatably. it seems they will not talk. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!

The ReadyNAS uses NUT. See e.g. http://home.bott.ca/webserver/?p=466

No! Wanted to enable SNMP on my main PC and talk to my NAS. Am already using the USB cable from my APU to my main PC.
Thanks

What most people do is install NUT on the PC and use that to export the UPS status to the NAS (which can remotely monitor via NUT).
The ReadyNAS can monitor using SNMP, but I believe that requires the APC to have a network management card installed.. http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/23121/~/how-do-i-add-a-ups-to-my-readynas-os-6-storage-system%3F?cid=wmt_netgear_organic
In any event, if it can be done w/o a network management card, it would require setting up the APC software on the PC to act as an SNMP proxy agent for the UPS. The APC forums are probably a better resource for this.
If you get it to work, it would be useful to post a how-to guide here.
