USB Hard Drives Raid Expansion
Hi there,
This might be a stupid question and I figure the answer is no.
But would it be possible if using x-RAID to add USB hard drives to make the overall raid drive larger?
I assume it only works for internal drives, but I just wanted to check.
ReadyNAS Duo with 2x 2tb, if I cant make bigger with USB drives, looks like im buying a new 4 bay!!! Expensive :?
Thanks

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserYou cannot extend the raid array to the USB drives. However, you can create shares on a USB drive if you wish. I wouldn't recommend that as a long term solution.
Are you certain you have a v2? (http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how ... -or-nv-v2/) The v1 is limited to 2 TB drives, the v2 is not.
