USB3 or eSata for backup?

I'm looking to buy an new external hard drive for backups.
What's the best interface to go for, USB3 or eSata?
Some drives provide both, any advantage to that?

USB3 is compatible with USB2, so it is a more common interface.

I'd get USB 3.0 myself. If you have a device with USB2 and eSata, then maybe get a dual interface - eSata would be faster on that machine.

Also, eSata is faster than the USB on the new ReadyNAS RN1xx/RN3xx/RN516 products
