User Cannot Access Home Share
I just setup a ReadyNAS 516 and I'm prepping for a migration away from AD.
Firmware is updated to 6.1.1
In accounts, I have it set to a common workgroup name (same as on my test PC.)
In Accounts, I setup a user called ray, and gave it the same password I use for my Windows login
Now, when I go to \\192.168.xxx.xxx\ray I'm prompted for a username and password. I enter 'ray' and the same password I use for my Windows login. The authentication fails.
Seeing as the user name and password and workgroup are all identical on my local box and on my NAS box, I should not be promted for the password at all. However, I am, and the password fails. I've tried it with 5 different users (5 different home directories) and they all fail.
If I navigate to \\192.168.xxx.xxx I am able to see a share named after the current logged in user. For example, if I'm logged in as ray, I see a folder called 'ray', if I'm logged in as kristin, I see a folder called 'kristin', etc. so I know the folders are getting setup as the users are created. However, these users cannot access these folders, even though their passwords match. HELP!

- ghostlobsterAspirantNevermind.,..a reboot of the ReadyNAS box fixed the issue. Sheesh, should have done that before panicking.
