Using RAIDar to change IP address
Is there anyway to use RAIDar to change the IP address of my NV+? I just changed the IP address of my router, and I need to change the IP address and gateway information for the NV+. Is there a simple...
You can't use RAIDar for this (though that is a nice idea!)
Do you have a V1 (4.1.x firmware) or a V2 (5.x.x) firmware?
You have two options. One is to do an firmware (OS) reinstall from the NV+ front panel. That will reset the IP configuration to use DHCP, and also reset your admin password to the factory value. Be careful not to do a factory reset, which will wipe your data.
The second option is to directly connect the NAS to a PC, and temporarily set the IP address of the PC to something in the old address range. Then you can reach the NAS admin page using its IP address and reset the IP config.
