I tried to install de dev environment on my

ReadyNas NV+ running RAIDiator 4.1.7 [1.00a043]

apt-get install gcc
apt-get install gdb
apt-get install libtag1-dev

then:

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
uuid-dev: Depends: libuuid1 (= 1.40.2-1.netgear2) but 1.40.11-1.netgear2 is to be installed
E: Broken packages
nas:~#

I would greatly appreciate if there is a way to get beyond this point :-)

Thanks in advance
Andre

  • I've got an Ultra 6+ and I upgraded to 4.2.17. I'm trying to install ruby1.9 and I get the following dependency error:

    uuid-dev: Depends: libuuid1 (= 1.41.12-1.netgear2) but 1.41.14-1.netgear1 is to be installed

I can't even install from source as I don't have make, and if I try to install it, I get the same error.
  • What may be the trouble? How may solve the problem? Any idea?
