App broken?

Since updating the Nighthawk app on my iPhone to the latest version (2.44.0), I can no longer log into my R7800 Nighthawk router, which I was able to manage without problems before.

Attached is a screenshot showing the error message I receive on the iPhone.

I can still get to the router via my PC, pointing the web browser to 192.168.1.1 and using my credentials (admin and my password).

Is there a problem with the new app? How can I continue using the iPhone app to manage my router?

  • Yeah, the App is finally fixed (at least for my R7800 router). v2.45.1.1 (released and installed today) did it!

Now I can log in without any problems and see all my devices connected to the router.

      Tried reinstalling. No difference.

Can you try doing a network reset on the phone. Not a full factory reset, there is just a network reset option on the IOS.
Let us know if this changes anything.

Does this log in issue seen when your on the cell phone network while outside of the home?

  • This seems to be the same issue I am having on an Android phone. I can access the router just fine through a web browser, but the app consistently fails to actually connect to the router's admin screen. "Router unreachable" type messages, even though the phone itself is connected to it. It just started happening a few days ago. Nothing I've tried, including the possible solutions I've read here have made any difference.

  • Can see all connected devices. Sometimes it’s slow to connect and speedtest does not work.

  • Although the issue is marked solved, it isn't. Same issue with an Android phone as I posted earlier.

I noticed with my RAX80, the app seems to log in with Anywhere Access. However when I attempt to change over to Local Only, All fails after that. Even coming back to AA connection, starts failing. I submitted bug reports thru the app for this. Recommend doing the same.

I have same/similar scenario. Noticed AA was enabled. Was able to disable it, shows connected locally but then will prompt to log into router on its own and get timeout message again.
