Where to find ReadyNAS NV+ (RND4410) version number
ALOHA,
My ReadyNAS NV+ has been inoperable for almost a year, with a "Kernal error". I did not due any "due diligence investigation" for the error so I just unplugged it and recently upgraded all 4HDD's to Seagate 2TB drives.
Now I'm faced with upgrading the firmware and trying to redo setup, which is where my problems are. I can't upgrade the firmware because I don't have any documentation that id's the V # for the ReadyNAS NV+(RND4410-100NAS / 4x1000 SG XRAID). The current version of RAIDar is 4.1.5.
Adding to my confusion is the web id's the RAIDar v 4.1.5 as being used on a ReadyNAS DUO, more confusion is the contradictory info on the unit with 3 labels located on the unit front, back and bottom. The metal label at the front is ReadyNAS NV+, sticker at the back id's it as RND4000, sticker at the bottom id's it as (line 1) RND4410-100NAS, (line 2) as 4x1000 SG XRAID, (line 3) is MAC/SN 000DA201B6DA. I've found several references to the RND4410 and some are V1 and some are V2.
So where is this info found?

- chirpaLuminaryRAIDar and RAIDiator are separate things, even though the versions are similar. You bought it in 2009, so you definitely have the v1, which is currently at 4.1.10 firmware version.

You certainly have a v1, but the answer to your question is here: http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how ... -or-nv-v2/Don wrote: ...So where is this info found?...
In my opinion, how to identify your readynas platform should be clearly spelled at ReadyNAS.com and Netgear.com, but unfortunately it is not.
