Why upgrade to OS6?
Sorry if this is a silly question but there are so many threads to read and I haven't come across a simple summarisation regards the benefits of upgrading to OS6. I have an ultra 4 plus that I use ...

Thank you all for your replies.
I have had a Duo, then an ultra 2 plus, then an Ultra 4 plus over the years --> only for home use and as a database for streamers.
My interest is that there isn't a new Readynas that is worth upgrading to specwise. The 314 is not far off the ultra 4 plus.
So I thought it may be an interesting play to upgrade the FW to OS6 since it is more modern with more apps and the mentioned benefits.
I am hoping, possibly beyond hope, it may help transfer speeds, may be.
I was also little peeved that Netgear upgraded the OS fairly soon after my investment in the ultra 4 plus and don't want to pay again for a newer model anytime soon.
I've made my back up and may venture to do it tonight as seems the FW is quite settled
