Why upgrade to OS6?
Sorry if this is a silly question but there are so many threads to read and I haven't come across a simple summarisation regards the benefits of upgrading to OS6. I have an ultra 4 plus that I use ...

OS6 is generally slower than OS4, as StephenB said.
Something you may want to factor in is that there are few recovery tools available for BTRFS.
I currently run OS6 on my Ultra 4, mostly because the platform seems to get faster security patches. I can't say that there were real benefits otherwise, unless you count "slicker interface" as a pro. OS6 has been much buggier but lately that has mostly been rectified.
