Why upgrade to OS6?
Sorry if this is a silly question but there are so many threads to read and I haven't come across a simple summarisation regards the benefits of upgrading to OS6. I have an ultra 4 plus that I use ...
Well the update went very smoothly thanks to all the fantastic advice and resources in these forums.
I just left all the discs as they were and just followed the 3 step update.
My fan speeds are as before hovering around 1800 rpm while its rebuilding the volume data.
Temps of CPU and system are same as before.
Set up was easy although my previous static IP address didn't seem tool low the email alerts but the automatic/DCHP did.
So I set the static address at the Router level instead.
Is it necessary to create a user since I am the only one using it?
Also where to download apps?
Do I download to PC and install?
I only need Transmission
