Also, it would seem that I could rename the problem share to "test2", rename the good share to the current problem share name and move the contents of the problem share into the good share then delete the problem share, but it's not that simple unfortunately. Timestamps are critical for us. I can't do a straight copy with Windows Explorer from the problem share to the good share without affecting the timestamps, I can't use xcopy because it encounters permissions problems and hangs and using FrontView Backup to move the contents results in permissions changes, adding the CREATOR permissions. So how can I move these files and have the permissions corrected to match the good share's permissions settings without affecting the timestamps of the files and folders? Changing timestamps affects Subversion and another software, which is our main development software. I tried doing this move once and everyone complained that Subversion and this other software were then broken and non-functional.
