Add SNMP support on GC510P(P)

Hi,

 

Please add SNMP support on the GC510PP, to monitor this device.

Smaller devices do have SNMP support, but this more expensive model does not have SNMP support.

I think SNMP support for managed switches is a MUST have, since they are used in "enterprice".

    Won't and can't happen as per well informed Netgear sources.

     

    The GCxxx switch series isn't Managed Switch (Enterprise) class - much more these were introduced specifically for Insight - where SNMP was considered not required or competitive against Insight. The "big" GC7xx initially did not had SNMP available, it came up with the Insight ability for basic config of SNMP. Very long faces trying SNMP once enabling SNMP on the Insight Wired network config finding the GC1xx/GC5xx does not have SNMP at all - apparently mainly due the the limited resources in Flash, RAM, and processing ewe're told.

    Hi,

     

    The GC108P & GC108PP both have SNMP support..

    And if it's not enterprise(or something like that), why does it have enterpise functions like TACACS+, static routes(L3 functions)? And is it  advertised as a business product?
