I have a Nighthawk MR60 and I would like to manually select a specific wireless network band e.g., 2.4 Ghz

    Why?

This doesn't make sense. The choice of wifi bands is down to the client not the source.

What does it mean? Turn off 5 GHz?

  • I have a device that only works on 2.4GHZ; not 5. The ability to turn off/on 5 GHZ on demand would be a solution.

That issue comes up often. Sadly, Netgear is hopeless when it comes to helping, people to understand that the problem is not with the router but with the dolts who developed the "device that only works on 2.4GHZ".

There are ways of dealing with that.

The "Idea suggestion" should be for Netgear to explain what people can do in those circumstances.

You can wait for Netgear to do what you ask for, or you can investigate how to make the thing work now.

Try asking for help with your problem in the area given over to the MR60.
