Add feature to traffic meter control to enable device caps
Hi, I have an R6400. I really like the router and most of the features, although some features just don't work at all such as the blocking. Anyways, an idea I want to submit as an improvement f...

This is an outstanding requests (Add feature to traffic meter control to enable device caps). I can only dream of a 500GB limit -- mine is 30 GB (30 expensive GB). This required monitoring with Genie more often than once per day. Being able to have Genie limit the use by IP would be a huge plus.
After struggling to keep usage below 30GB last month, on the first day of this month, I found that Google Chrome had unexpectedly sucked up 9 GB. Apparently, a url I had opened had a hidden recurring video or refresh that continued despite the fact that my laptop is set to go into sleep mode automatically. Nasty surprise -- only 21 GB left for the rest of the month. I would put all active PCs on my netword on a limit if I could. I would also want to be able to reset that limit so that I might put a 1 GB limit for a given day and then reset it (if exceeded) for the next day.
All internet providers are now moving away from unlimited data service. My provider (the only high speed internet service availabl in my area), Verizon, escalating costs -- 100GB/mon would cost $750 for data only service. (And when I say the only high speed service, I mean approx 20Mbs. But this is an improvement over the only DSL service which is less than 1.5Mbs.) So it should be apparent that this data limiting capability on Genie become potentially critical for many customers.
