A few years ago someone added a traffic meter to their router that it took was a small program running on the router it told them their network speed amount of data usd and give them a graph of their internet traffic. I belive that Netgear could come out a meter of their own that could be peared with the router with special mating code and give you the information you need. It was on youtube.
