Dear Netgear I have spent a good wallup of money on a RBR/RBS850 setup, expecting to be well equiped for our WIFI- and LAN networking needs in this day an age... Apparently I couldn't have been more...

Thanks for the reply 🙂
a couple of observations...
1 - My old SRR60 had no trouble seperating the two...
2 - the reason for the lacking support for 5GHz isn't the apps, but rather the chosen chips in the IOT device. If I was to produce a smart lightbulb with a needed wifi speed of next to nothing, I would also choose the 2.4GHz chip costing a fraction of the 5GHz, and resulting in a superior wifi coverage.
3 - I have a lightbulb bridge and a vacuum cleaner - and both are having issues due to the fact that I cannot seperate the 2.4GHz band, according to the respective technical support teams...
4 - It seems Netgear have picked up on the need for a iot SSid - at least it is available on the 960
Suggestion:
How hard would it be to let the user choose between:
1 - using the guest SSID as a guest SSID, or
2 - using the guest SSID as a IOT SSID running only on 2.4GHz
