Add Multiple Access Schedules

I am not sure how this is still NOT a fearure... Under Advanced>Security>Schedule, we should be able to setup multiple schedules for and it should even be per device. Currently, I can set only one schedule for all devices. This is very limiting compared to competing router options: D-Link, etc. I should be able to set MUTLIPLE access schedules on a per-device basis. For example, if I have two devices that I want to restrict when they can access the Internet, I should be able to state on device A it can access the Internet Sunday-Thursday from 4 pm - 10 pm and Friday-Saturday from 10 pm until 1 am. I should then be able to set a different schedule for device B, for example Sunday-Thursday from 6 pm - 11 pm and Friday-Saturday from 8 pm - 11 pm.

How this feature wasn't implemented yesterday is beyond me???

It's been a year and it seems Jason has retired.  Any update from NETGEAR regarding this?

Very disappointed that such a basic/primitive feature is still not supported by Nighthawk R7900P and Orbi RBK53.  Still can't retire my old router because of this functionality.  No. I don't want Disney Circle paid subscription just for this.

  • I'm sorry I chose my R6220-router at the store. I had no idea this function was so poorly implemented by Netgear.

  • I can't beleive this basic parantial control feature is so bad - only single block is available per day. No multiple schedules are available. no summary table. bought advanced R6700 AC1750 and it doesn exist... Come on...

  • I bought a new router this Christmas and  threw my crappy Netgear-router away. Never a Netgear-product again in my house!

My new TP Mesh Deco M9-system was very easy and quick to set up, has all the functionality needed, and I now have 100 % coverage on all floors with full fiber speed. And the app's parental control is intuitive and has all the functionality Netgear never had!

I can't believe how long I waited for Netgear to keep ignoring their customers! Stay away!

  • I just bought a Nighthawk RS400. I would say it is a rubbish.

    1. It is so warm. How could it be? I am hesitated to leave it on all day long.

    2. The schedule thing is really a surprise to me. For that price tag, but can only set one schedule for all???Are you kidding me?

    3. The unit is so bulky for home use.

    4. The wifi just stop suddenly operating for 2 times already over the last 15 hours. Note, it is wifi signal, not the internet connection. I cannot access the router's web page via the internal IP. (And it is running on its latest firmware!!!)

I regret so much of buying this dump thing. Just want to throw it away!!!

Netgear - thumbs down to you!

  • It's really hard to fathom why they do not allow such basic functionality.

It appears Netgear wants to force us into the10$/month circle subscription just

to enable basic features of their hardware. Total rip-off!!

I wish I knew this before I bought the product. I am going to write a review on amazon.
