NETGEAR is aware of a growing number of phone and online scams. To learn how to stay safe click here.
I have an Orbi RBR350
(https://www.netgear.com/support/product/rbr350)
but I assume this will apply to others as well.
The router comes with a self-signed certificate for CN "www.routerlogin.net" and there is no way to upload for example a proper Let's Encrypt certificate to be used instead.
This would allow me to keep the router's FQDN on the same domain as the rest of the network and avoid the invalid certificate warning (and improve security).
Hopefully a future firmware upgrade could introduce this feature.
Bonus points for allowing the certificate to be updated programmatically when it expires (even if that was just an authenticated POST to the settings page).
