Most hardware makers are quite poor about giving information (I understand the whole “we can’t say too much” concept) but I’m sure there’s a way netgear (and others) can do better without compromising their business plans. One can be transparent without showing their hand as it were.
I don’t even need product info. I’m just asking for netgear to say “hey we’re working on new firmware and new software for product X. Here’s when you can expect it.” Some rough timeline as to when we can expect things to be done (if they’re being done at all). As it stands, I get the feeling that netgear just doesn’t care at all about the customer or supporting their products
