Currently vpn support does not work with chromebooks, please either provide a chromeos extension to allow vpn access, or change the vpn support in the router so that it will work on a chromebook
As I have just bought a new Chromebook that supports the Android PlayStore, I can confirm that you can sideload the openvpn connect client, connect via vpn and use a chrome beta browser from the PlayStore to access your home network.
