We need custom DDNS options, please. Dyn and Noip are pay services these days, and mynetgear does not work half the time. In todays world we have litterally thousands of MintDNS installtions and hundreds of other free service. If Q-See and Nightowl can accomidate why are you still locking your devices to pay only services?
Lets pretend that I need this feature for the security of a nationwide franchise, that hopes to use an inhouse DDNS for security reasons. What option would I have except for OpenWRT?
We need a custom DDNS option, and it is no small issue, guys. I know losing sales on a few hundred devices is no big deal for Netgear, but its a major expense for us. Is there colusion between Dyn, Noip and Netgear. Do you get kick backs by chance?

Adding to my post above, many folks are using inhouse DDNS services these days. Anyone can download the software, setup a server and negate the need to pay dyn or nioip. https://dynamic.domains has DDNS server software free for non commercial use, and there are some GNU icensed options to like http://gnudip2.sourceforge.net/ I believe almost all of them use the dyndns.org update protocol, so I must really question why you wont provide the ability to use a custom DDNS server.
I see requests like this from 2015. It does not appear that Netgear cares about "getting with the times". Netgear, is anyone even paying attention to these comments/suggestions? It is ridiculous that your routers do not support custom DDNS solutions in 2021 -- my next router purchase will not be a Netgear if this trend continues.
