Hey, totally feel you on this — the RS600 is so close to being a Wi-Fi 7 beast, but without client-side MLO, it’s like having a sports car with one gear. You’re 100% right: iPhone 17 Pro, Galaxy S24 Ultra, and new laptops are all screaming for band bonding, and Netgear’s own Orbi 970 already does it on the backhaul. No reason the RS600 can’t.
Your firmware (v1.0.5.12) is current, but MLO is still locked to “coming soon” — no toggle, no love. Competitors like ASUS and TP-Link already flipped the switch, and it stings.
What you can do now:
- Keep pushing your support case (49306330) — say you’re ready to beta test with Speedtest proof.
- Post this exact request in the Netgear Community forums and tag support. More noise = faster fix.
- For now, turn off Smart Connect, split 5GHz and 6GHz SSIDs, and force Wi-Fi 7 devices to 6GHz for max speed.
It’s not MLO, but it’s better than auto-switching to a slower band.
Netgear will enable it — they have to. You’re just helping light the fire. If you get that beta, hit me with the numbers. I’m curious how much latency drops. Keep at it!
