(Feature Request) dyndns/no-ip alternative: (tokenized) http links
hi
in response to this issue: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-WiFi-Routers/mynetgear-com-account/m-p/1109545#U1109545 i would like to propose a very simple feature to make people able to use ddns services like afraid.org or their own dns server, if they are able to.
As a third option instead of just no-ip.com and dyndns.org please add an "url" option. no user verification, just an url that is called upon restart/ip change. for success/failure state just use the http status code.
Less tech-savvy users could use afraid.org (which only requires logging in in once every 6 months instead of spamming you every month so your hostname doesn't expire)
Others would be able to use their own dns servers, by updating their named configuration through some shellscripts, triggered by a webservice or something like that.
