3 features I would love to see added to Netgear firmware
1) Add option to rename the admin username to something other than 'admin' - this adds security
2) Add support for Custom DDNS services (ex. api.dynu.org) - this will increase demand for Netgear routers
3) Add additional options for VPNs (ex. PPTP) OR allow ICMP to still be disabled when enabling the VPN - this adds security
Add the above 3 features and you'll have the best routers with the best firmware out there.

Up vote on the feature request for Netgear Routers to provide VPN client functionality so that the entire network is protected.
+ 1 for Dynu as a DDNS service!
