So...not that I'm trying to complain because I really prefer the netgear products for my home use routers. I have the nighthawk x8 R8500 and the nighthawk extender EX7000. Both work great together, couldnt be happier.
Does anyone know if the user interface will get a face lift anytime soon. It's just butt ugly lol. Also the firmware seems to lack in features, figured there would be more features available for on the fly analytics at the very least.

I really like this post and I would also like to rec comment native torrent support in the firmware
- native torrent suoport, now theres a nice feature to have. Not sure netgear would have rhat on their firmware as torrenting promotes pirating...but I would really be excited if that was brought in. Pretty sure the DD-WRT firmware might have it.
- I was thinking the same , the inferface just looks plain ugly.
Plus 1 million. I made a post saying much the same thing. High end routers are very expensive and Netgear really makes the best in my opinion but their UI is AWFUL. The genie program is a joke. It looks like it was designed in the Windows XP days and runs so poorly. Netgear really needs to rework their software and UI. Slow, ugly, cluttered, and outdated.
Netgear needs to go dark ages on their UI for the nighthawk. Nighthawks are demons in my opinion....Fast, stealthy, dangerous.....I think the user interface should be designed the same way the commercial advertises it. I dont want this happy fluffy MY LITTLE PONY themed UI, I want it sexy lookin!!!!!
