Implement OpenVPN client for Orbi

I would also like to add my vote to have an upgrade for Orbi AC3000 to handle 3rd party VPN clients such as Nordvpn.

I second the request for VPN client support, which can work with many VPN providers, not just a single one. Thanks.

I agree. Please add OpenVPN client that one can configure to selectively direct devices and/or traffic to the VPN (i.e. allow Netflix to bypass the VPN).

This requested feature become more necessary everyday to keep the privacy of your current and future Orbi customers. Please implement it.

Would love compatibility with `algo`

Hi JasonN, any timeline when this can be implemented on Orbi. Since it has already been implmeneted on NightHawk, I am assuming we expect to see something within a month? say by May 2018?

Hi, I just bought orbi last week thinking that it might already have this feature. I did see the vpn service while doing my research, didn't realize that its for server setup only. I prefered this router over google mesh wifi just because of it. Its a deal breaker for me, please implement this feature as soon as possible.

We would require something like this:

1. A generic openvpn client like they have in DD-WRT based routers
2. Optionally, an implementation of HMA, purevpn or other vpn clients

Though, a generic one is preferred so that you dont have to maintain all these vpn service provider changes and keep on updating firmware because of it.

This request implies the ability of using (importing) any common OpenVPN client configs - not just a point solution to yet another single VPN provider as it happened on the XR500 (with HMA) resp, the R7800/X4S (with PureVPN) of course.

Please add my voice to wanting “whole house” vpn coverage in the Orbi line.
