I would like to see a new feature to limit the downstream bandwidth per device.
One of the devices is a Chromecast which basically streams as fast as it can based on the connection speed. Unfortunately it doesn't have the ability to limit streaming quality thus is using up all my bandwidth as it just streams at maximum speed. If I could adjust the bandwidth speed to a few hundred kbps, it will stream at a slower speed (albeit at a lesser quality), but at least it won't blow through my internet bandwidth.
I love my R7000 because it has been very stable, but with my new chromecast, my options are: 1) Spend more money on more bandwidth, 2) Stop using the chromecast, 3) Get an ASUS router which seems to have bandwidth speed control per device.
If ASUS can have this as a basic feature, why not Netgear?
