There are other issues that I havent commented upon, such as it is manditory that the VoIP landline be preserved for an elderly parent. Setting the ISPs gateway (modem/router combo) to bridge mode looses landline ability.
Its just that it would be nice to have that extra layer of security as the ISPs gateway does not provide it. I was hoping that it would be as simple as setting a logical switch in the firmware, but if it is far more complicated than that, I can stick with what I have got.
What made me assume that it was possible with very little work is that the EX6200 that I have can do MAC access list in AP mode and I view it as a lesser capable black box than the R6220 router. The EX6200 is on the preiphery of the logical network where as the R6220 is its central hub.
