Product to be fitted to vertical bulkhead in motorhome.
- When pressing top button to select next screen front falls away from rear. To overcome this issue the front to back 'locking' method needs improvement.
- The product uses TS-9 antenna connectors which very easily come out when travelling. Suggest product is fitted with SMA connectors or be sold complete with holder, rather than user having to buy 3rd party product. (Costly at almost £70.00)
- I have a 24 month sim with 25GB data but the status is not displayed on the screen or app. Netgear support agent said I needed to sign in to the sim provider website to determine usage. The sim stats should be available on product screen and in the app (poor software design)
- Not sure how 'Days left' is supposed to be implemented! The user can choose from 1 to 31 days when many sims give longer, in my case 24 months.
- Switching off the router and the back on resets data used back to zero; meaning the user only sees the data used in the current session on the screen. Surely both session and total data used from the sim should be displayed (at least in the app).
- not sure what happens, or is indicated, when 'Days left' reaches zero. The User Manual does not explain data usage when using a prepaid sim, it just says data usage LCD displays data usage in a different way - Not good technical writing!
- Nowhere is it made clear that the European Nighthawk M1100-100 has different firmware to that of the United States product.
Apart from all that it has the makings of a solid product.
