Manual Band Override for Smart Connect

Model = RAX 120

Firmware = 1.2.8.40

Can you please consider manual override option when Smart Connect is enabled to allow older IoT (e.g. Actron Air Que Air Conditioning System) devices to only connect to 2.4 G band? When router has Smart Connect enabled, it attempts to switch some of these IoT devices to the 5G band.  This is a good idea in theory to balance band load, but it will cause instability of the IoT device with high risk for drop out.

I have done a manual test of these over the last week.  I have disabled Smart Connect and have same SSID/password for both 2.4 and 5G.  The IoT device is solid without any drop outs on 2.4G band.

I would like to use Smart Connect as I find that without it, my 2.4G band has twice the number of devices compared to the 5G band on average.  I current have 25 devices connected (9 wired, 16 wireless).

Thanks.
