Need an option to Disable WPS for Bed & Breakfast & Caregiving In Private Home

Unless, I'm missing something the range of business wifi extenders won't solve the issue. From what I understand, a router is still a necessity with these & the extender just extends the signal. Is this correct? If so, this won't solve the issue of the wps being accessible on the router without finding a way to lock it up. And the range is very good, so need to extend it.
