Other mesh networks such as Eero and soon Luma support hard wiring your sattelites. I think its extremely important Netgear Orbi does the same. Especially for those of us who can.

Please add the Ethernet backhaul option in the product. I am holding out on purchasing because of this feature lacking when I have Cat 6 cable in my house.

One possible answer to work around this issue is to use a small router as a access point and use the lan ports on back of Orbi as a switch not the best asnwer but it should solve the issue for the minute.

+1 on Hard wired satellites. Radio should be used were hardwire isn't an option. SInce I am replacing a small army of hardwired AP's, it is disappointing to have to use wireless backhaul where wired ethernet exists.
This is especially disappointing in my TV cabinet where the previous AP was also acting as a 4 port switch and I now have to add a separate switch to feed those devices and the RBS50 which sits with 4 empty ethernet ports. - JMU1998Luminary
I wish they include the wired backhaul in the next Beta

I just ordered expecting this would allow ethernet backhaul. It has not arrived yet, but I will be returning as soon as I get now that I know it is not supported.
- Please update the firmware to enable Ethernet backhaul ASAP because it is very useful to many of your customers and Ubiquiti is already offering it on their very nice Amplifi products now! Thank you!

No wired backhaul yet?! How old is this issue?
We are currently using 3 different wireless routers in our house which has ethernet wiring in each room. Without fully researching these new fangled mesh networks, I went out and bought the Orbi because it was the highest rated with more advanced technology than the others. It would be so much more convenient to be able to roam seamlessly around the house without having to connect to different networks.
Of course only after I buy it do I look into how to set it up. Seems I will be returning the Orbi and getting the new Eero Pro.

+1 for wired Ethernet backhaul. One of my satellites (1 of 2) has to be placed in a suboptimal location (halfway to the location I would really like to place it) due to distance and walls. There is already Cat6 to the optimal location so wired backhaul would be a great solution. I'm willing to run wire to the second satellite if fully wired backhaul is required (vs a hybrid system).

+1 for wired Ethernet backhaul, I'd really appreciate that.
