Other mesh networks such as Eero and soon Luma support hard wiring your sattelites. I think its extremely important Netgear Orbi does the same. Especially for those of us who can.

I moved to Ubiquiti three years ago and have great flexibility with AP styles and connectivity.

Please make a new post here and lets trouble shoot this.

Ethernet backhaul has been supported since the SX series first came out. I know my SXK30 series works.
Disable of wifi BH can't be supported as the BH needs to be enabled all the time is case the wired back haul fails, the system has something to fall back on. Not needed as well. BH support is automatic, and doesn't need any forcing.
Doesn’t work for me in any consistent way despite using the latest firmware (at the time I’m writing this comment). And this even after factory resets and countless reboots.
Enhanced the request to explicitly disable WiFi backhaul to force Ethernet backhaul.

SXR80 supports ethernet backhaul already.
It would be great to have this capability for SXR80 (which is not covered by this article https://kb.netgear.com/000051205/What-is-Ethernet-backhaul-and-how-do-I-set-it-up-on-my-Orbi-WiFi-System?article=000051205); even having the option to completely disable WiFi backhaul connection per satellite.

I agree that products like the Orbi and other mesh type system will work in the right home but each has it's set of limits. This can not be help in their design you must have a radio link between stations and a 2.4 ghz with a 5ghz band plus the electronics and antennas. All this takes processing time on each device that slows down the whole system and limits their range.

It already supports it, just plug it in. Been running like that for two years or so.

After working the Orbi a few times over the past year, I tried the Ubiquiti Dream Machine and I'm hooked. I'm installing a UDM Pro, 24 Port PoE Switch, 2 APs and LTE backip at one home now and I plan to replace my Orbi at a second home with another UDM Pro later this year.
