NetGear rips off consumers

I would strongly suggest anyone considering purchasing such an expensive product (between additional satellites), I paid almost $1800 and just over a year old, it stopped working.  Netgear stated it wasn’t the hardware but for $150, they could fix the software issue.  They have no loyalty whatsoever.  I could see they could care less if I purchased a $199 system, but this was not the case.  I also know that whatever new system I purchase, it’ll be through Best Buy with my Total Tech membership that covers up to 2 years, no matter what the issue is.  Unfortunately I purchased Total Tech a few months after I got this horrible Orbi system!  Do your due diligence, this system was not “built to last” as they keep feeding you…it was built to need constant upgrades which will cost you so much more than what you’ve already invested!  BUYER, BEWARE!  HORRIBLE PRODUCT AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVEN WORSE!!!

 

I believe the system failed under mysterious circumstances so that knowing how well the system works…when it works, you consider purchasing a much better system and they make another $2500…it probably won’t last more than a year…just long enough for the warranty to expire!!!  I’m making a formal complaint to Federal Trade Commission along with Consumer Affairs.  I’ve ready many other reviews and it seems this is consistent to their business practices!  As if inflation isn’t hard enough…you have scammers like this company!

    It also seems like maybe you got one of the con sites that seem to pop up all the time for that fee amount. 

    did you try posting in the forums for help versus the idea exchange for suggestions?
