I am using the Nighthawk X6 R8000 router. It’s good and all but the one thing I hate about it is the 10 year old software used on a top of the line new router. I am writing to the community to get attention for DumaOS support on the X6 R8000. If the Netgear team and DumaOS team could make this dream a reality that would be great!

Nice idea, but Netgear already has a Nighthawk gaming range that supports DumaOS. That's the whole idea. (Think XR500 = R7800 + DumaOS.)
The extra cost of the XR range is way beyond anything that makes sense as a free firmware update.
